The BCN Perceptual Computing Lab is a research group involving researchers from sereral universities and research centers (UB, UOC, CVC) from the Barcelona area.
Perceptual computing is a scientific area concerned with the processing and analysis of sensor data such as video, audio, motion and other sensory data. Our main research lines are the following:
- Computer Vision and Object Recognition.
- Facial landmark detection.
- Face and head detection.
- Hand Detection.
- Large-scale object recognition.
- Human pose detection in complex scenes using RGBD images.
- Agitation Monitoring at Intensive Care Units.
- Social Signal Analysis.
- Advanced Medical Image Analysis.
- Tissue characterization and retrieval from IVUS videos
- CT-guided hemodynamic interventions
- Miocardial perfusion based on MRI analysis
- Wireless endoscopic video analysis for motility diagnosis
- TIMI characterization based on automatic X-ray analysis
- Perceptual Machine Learning.
- Multitask Learning
- Multiclass Classifiers.
- Stacked Sequential Learning.
- Online and Active Learning.
- Multiple Classifier Systems.
- Image processing for perceptual computing.
- Bilateral filters, bilateral enhancers and noise reduction.
